Crazy Evening

Last night was quite a night for me...at least for about 30-60 minutes.  I came home from work and had little energy and intended to do a yoga workout but was just to tired.  I was commenting on it to Matt except it came out "I want to do a yogurt workout."  That was kind of a funny slip.  I did see a container of raspberry dark chocolate yogurt in the fridge at work and I certainly wouldn't mind working out with that stuff.

Anyway, I decided to start working on dinner and was making some enchilada sauce.  The recipe calls for a dash of cayenne and 3 TBS chili powder.  Well, I put the cayenne in and reached for the chili powder to put 3 TBS in.  Once all 3 TBS were spooned onto the sauce I realized it wasn't chili powder...it was cayenne.  I screamed Crap! and Matt called from the living room, what's wrong?  I said to him, I just tried to kill us! and luckily since I hadn't stirred the cayenne in yet started spooning it all out - hoping that I would get it all.  Matt was asking questions and I didn't want to break my concentration by answering him so I said, I'll tell you in a minute.  Luckily, the sauce was saved.  Phew!

On to the next part of dinner...slicing avocados.  As I was using the knife to get the pit out I just sliced right into my thumb.  So, then came multiple Oh Crap!'s and Matt again from the living room, what's going on Woman?  I got my thumb taken care of and back to dinner prep.  Luckily that was it.

Too bad after all the effort and mishaps to get it on the table, dinner really wasn't that good.  That recipe is certainly not a keeper.

After a few swigs of root beer and a yoga workout later that night, I felt much better.
